Recreational Gymnastics Coach (from Term 2 2021)

Park Overview
Bruce Pulman Park is a unique sport and recreational facility featuring world-class
sports outdoor and indoor spaces in 64 hectares of park. We are dedicated to the sustainable delivery of sport & recreation for our local community and beyond.

Pulman Recreation Centre sits within the Park and is led by the Centre Manager as part of the overall Management Team.  As the home of Counties Manukau Gymnastics, the Park and club work closely together to run both recreational programmes for the local community and
competitive training for the more serious Gymnast.

We are now on the look-out for a number of coaches who can complement our existing
team. We run Pre School Classes, School Delivery Classes, Afterschool & Weekend
Programs. In addition, we also have specialist classes for Artistic Gymnastics (MAG & WAG),
Rhythmic, Trampoline, and Tumbling.

Position Description
We are looking for individuals with coaching, childcare or teaching background (or an
interest in this space) who are looking for a part-time work to fit with their current lifestyle
situation. Whilst a coaching qualification or a knowledge of gymnastics is desirable it’s

More important is the ability of our coaches to deliver our coaching sessions to the children
in a fun, engaging and interesting way. Your ability to create a safe and supportive learning
environment that nurtures and grows our young people, developing life skills that go
beyond gymnastics. We are looking for coaches comfortable speaking with parents and
teachers about the pupil’s progress, and those with the ability to work with a diverse
spectrum of pupils and coaches.

For the right person, there will be opportunities to grow and develop into a leadership role.
Support will be there towards gaining gymnastic specific coaching qualifications and
ongoing personal development.
We are looking for people with availability in their schedule to deliver either daytime school
sessions, afterschool classes from 3.30 pm onwards, and/or weekend classes.

opportunities to grow and develop.

your CV and enquiries to Centre Manager, tas.evans@brucepulmanpark.com
