Established back in 2002, the Bruce Pulman Park Sports Academy has been going for nearly 20 years. Leading the programme now is Simon Kent, High-Performance Director and National Coach for Olympic Weightlifting New Zealand.
The Academy made up of 21 athletes – six of which are in the second year of the two-year program – are taught to really hone in on what leads to success, using high-level examples.
