Pulman Recreation Centre and Counties Manukau Gymnastics welcome back Diane Cunningham after a coaching hiatus of four years.
Diane returns to the Park as Gymnastics for All (GfA) Programme Leader to revitalise the early childhood and movement development programmes, namely BabyGym, PlayGym and GymFun. During her previous tenure, she also led the Holiday Programme, Schools Programme (onsite and off-site), Special Needs classes and involved in general Park activities.
A strong leader and mentor, she will be guiding younger coaches and provide support for other lead coaches in various Gym for All programmes at the Centre.
As a young mum, Diane started club coaching 24 years ago while her youngest of three children was still at kindergarten. All three came through the Club’s early childhood programmes and continued into other recreation classes. Her sons were in artistic gymnastics and trampoline programmes. Daughter Sonia became a senior level Rhythmic gymnast. All of her children had coached at different stages while in the Club.
During her absence from active coaching, she brought her granddaughters to our early childhood programmes at the Centre. As such, she never really left.
Diane is fully accredited as Gymnastics New Zealand’s PlayGym Leader and is also a qualified Rhythmic Gymnastics Elementary Level coach. Her return made the delivery of the revitalised early childhood and developmental programmes, seamless and efficient. Great to have you back at the Park, Diane!
