Future Facilities
The Trust will continue to build the best facilities that we can, whether they be buildings such as the Netball Centre, Gymsport and Recreation Centre, Team Sports Facility, Accommodation & Training Facility, sporting grounds such as the International Standard playing fields and Cricket Ovals or walkways through a scented garden for the blind. The Park will also always be maintained to a high standard and utilised fully.
The Trust is looking forward to the future of our community and the Park is an investment for future generations of the Papakura and Counties Manukau region. Future plans include the building of the Arthur Lydiard House which will provide administrative and meeting facilites for sporting bodies, the Indoor Courts Centre adjacent to Papakura Netball Centre, the Sports Development Centre which will enclose the Sprint Training Track providing a facility for training and analysis through sports science, health and wellbeing laboratories and gymnasium facilities.
Planning is also underway for the construction of a Multi Sports Complex adjacent to the Gymsport building. While a little further out in the time frame it will include indoor courts, swimming pool, fitness gym, community fitness gym, medical facility and further conference facilities. Other planned facilities include Café, Crèche, Cricket Pavilion, Scented Garden, Outdoor Stage and Rotunda and Children's Playgrounds.
Volunteers
A programme for volunteers is also being launched. Tradespersons, professionals or mum and dad kiwis can all help develop our Park and support the Sports and Recreational groups in Counties Manukau.
Annual Support
An ideal way to retain your Friend of Bruce Pulman Park status is to arrange an Annual Donation. On receipt of your cheque we will give you a friendly reminder on each anniversary. You can specify which of the projects listed or even support for the major projects which will be happening where you would like your donation allocated.
